Project: Reviving the Spirit of the '50s Ford Thunderbird | Exterior & Interior Design
Time: 1997 - 2003
Credit: Exterior and Interior Designer

When designing the 2003 Ford Thunderbird production vehicle we focused on reviving the spirit of the '50s, which had iconic features such as a sleek, retro-inspired body, classic round headlights, and a distinctive front grille. This modern interpretation aimed to capture the essence of the original Thunderbird while incorporating contemporary design elements and advanced technology to appeal to modern drivers.

The design process was directly inspired by the 1950s Thunderbird. I drew inspiration from its iconic round side window and distinctive rear wings, blending these classic elements into our modern concept development. This homage to a timeless design ensured that our creation was both nostalgic and innovative, merging vintage charm with contemporary functionality.
